Ravaged Nation
Growing up I was lucky enough to experience the American Dream. We weren't rich. We weren't poor though, not by a long shot. My family toured the country in a Ford Country Squire Wagon and a pop up trailer. I enjoyed most of the trips, and I thank my Dad for taking the family to places like Washington D.C., Fort Ticonderoga, the largest indoor model train set up in the world (I believe at the time it was in Pennsylvania), Plimoth Plantation, Gettysburg and many more places. There were camping trips to mountains and gorges but I especially appreciate that my Dad wanted me to learn about my country at a young age. What I would hope my Hubs do is point out a place where people stop and think. If we don't fix what's wrong with the country right now, the country that our children will grow up in will not be the same country I got the priveledge to be raised in.
